Nordic Swan Ecolabel
The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is available in two variants; one for individual products that are primarily aimed at the consumer, and a system for complete properties. The system for properties is Nordic and market leading in Finland and Norway, but the criteria harmonize well with the EU's taxonomy when it comes to the construction of new buildings.
Nordic Swan Ecolabel is a tool and aid for erecting buildings that are a better choice for the environment, the climate and the residents.
Through the requirements, resource efficiency, reduced climate impact, circular economy and preservation of biological diversity are promoted. The requirements also promote buildings that have a good indoor climate and are of high quality.
Individual products cannot be certified for Nordic Swan Ecolabelled buildings, but they can be registered in The Svanen's product portal as a 'good choice' and selected when properties are to be built.
